We’ll join the community salsa dance lessons at a local establishment where we’ll have fun working on our moves. . We’ll learn the difference between mezcal and tequila and get an introduction to Sayulita. After our tasting, we’ll wallk to a local restaurant for our welome dinner.

Day 2  - B, L
After breakfast, it’s time to join the locals and discover one of the things Sayulita is known for ... surfing! We’ll head to a local beach where we’ll all enjoy a surf lesson. Not quite sure about surfing? That’s ok, it’s all about trying something new and having fun. If you decide surfing isn’t for you, no worries, you can relax on the beach and enjoy the waves. After the lesson you’ll have some time to practice a bit more on your own before we head back to town and grab lunch as a group. We’ll meet back up in the evening and walk to a secluded beach for a bonfire, drinks and music. It’s sure to be a relaxing and fun way to spend a few hours.

Day 3  - B
Today is sure to be one of the highlights of the trip as we get out on the water to go whale watching. We’ll join a local expert with a PhD in zoology. We’ll learn about the marine life in the area, Sayulita’s history and of course, about the whales we’ll be seeing. Day 4  - B, L
Today we’ll take the local bus to where it drops us off for a hike. We’ll hike Cerro del Mono, also known as Monkey Mountain. At just over 2 miles to the top, you’ll agree that it’s worth the effort once you see those views! After our hike, we’ll take a taxi back to town where we’ll grab tacos at a local restaurant before having free time for the rest of the day. Perhaps you’ll choose to enjoy a massage on the beach - you definitely earned it!

Day 5 - B, D
Today is a free day to spend as you’d like. Perhaps you’ll want to rent a surfboard and practice what you learned a few days ago. Or, you can join us on an optional hike/walk to Mal Paso beach, a gorgeous white sand beach that is untouched by commercialization. We’ll spend a bit of time here before looping back, taking approximately 1.5-2 hours total and end up back on another local beach. We’ll reserve beach chairs for everyone and spend the afternoon relaxing. In the evening we’ll meet as a group and head to a special place to enjoy a cooking class. We’ll learn to make local dishes using ingredients from the farm and sea. It will be a fun, relaxed experience followed by dinner of our own creations.

Day 6 - B, L
Today we’ll have a perfect hidden beach all to ourselves as we enjoy some time kayaking. We’ll depart from a tranquil bay a half hour north of Sayulita and kayak along volcanic bluffs in humpback whale territory. After about an hour we’ll arrive at a lovely white sand beach in a secluded cove where the jungle meets the sea. Here you can enjoy swimming, hiking to a lovely view of the entire bay, or just basking in the beauty of the surrounding environment. We’ll then kayak back to town and enjoy a cold drink and local fruit before returning to Sayulita. Next we’ll stop at a local restaurant for lunch as a group and the rest of the evening will be free to spend as you’d like.

Day 7 - B, D
Friday will begin with another local tradtion as we visit the Friday Farmer’s Market. We’ll explore the food stalls and see all of the local fruits and vegetables. We’ll also visit the artisan’s stalls and hopefully find some nice things to take home. After our visit you can choose to enjoy the day as you’d like or join us on an optional walk to Los Muertos, another beautiful beach in a secluded cove. We’ll end the day at a local restaurant for our farewell dinner. We’re sure to be relaxed, suntanned, and full of stories about our great week in Sayulita.
